I happen to think that Chris Rock is HILARIOUS in his standup (Kill the Messenger anyone?), but not so hilarious is his movies. So I kinda looked the other way when I heard he was going to remake the 2007 British comedy Death at Funeral , about a family whose skeletons come flying out the closet during the funeral of the family patriarch. But after reading a few negative reviews citing that Rock stereotyped the "urban" remake, I decided to at least check out the trailer. Though it doesn't look like anything I'd watch (again, not a fan of Rock's movies), what I like about Rock's style is that he always keeps it real as far as race relations and politics. What may go down in other folks' homes may not go down the same way in his, and vice versa. Take a look at the trailer for Death at a Funeral (co-starring Martin Lawrence, Luke Wilson, Zoe Saldana, Danny Glover and James Marsden) in theaters April 16, 2010. Will you watch the movie?
