"Cinema in Noir" (Episode 8)

If you missed today's episode of "Cinema in Noir," you missed one lively, hot-button show. We discussed "passing" in Hollywood, specifically we we ask whether stars like Rashida Jones, Wentworth Mille and Maya Rudolph get a certain "pass" because they don't play "the typical black role."

We also discuss whether black film critics have a "duty" to specifically endorse black film, and what it means when we don't. Lastly we talk about how some black directors must battle the intimidation factor to get respect in Hollywood.
