Trailer Debut: "The Help"

Back in November, we checked out the first stills from The Help, the big screen adaptation of the bestselling novel by Kathryn Stockett. Today the eagerly-awaited trailer hit cyberspace.

Recap: The Help stars Viola Davis as Aibileen and Octavia Spencer (Being John Malkovich, Seven Pounds) as Minny, who both watch over white children in Mississippi during the civil rights movement. Emma Stone portrays Skeeter, an up-and-coming author whose latest read captures the touching hidden stories--and gossip no less--from, well, the help uncovering a sisterhood amidst tragedy and hard times. This looks like a lot of fun! When I read Stockett's book I imagined the film would've been a more dramatized version, but it's nice to see it light.
