Okay, contain your excitement, but this one is also adapted from a bestselling book. What To Expect When You're Expecting, the self-help book which armed expectant mothers with information and advice on motherhood and pregnancy, first debuted in bookstores in 1984 and has since spawned several editions and spin-offs. Next year, the movie of the same title, directed by Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee, Everybody's Fine), heads to the big screen, rounding up the usual romantic comedy suspects--Cameron Diaz, Elizabeth Banks, Jennifer Lopez-- with Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid and Chris Rock.
From the looks of the trailer, the plot seems pretty simple (and generic): Five couples go through the romantic and non-romantic throes of what it means to be (and become) parents. Take a look. What To Expect When You're Expecting hits theaters May 11, 2012.
