Another movie that has fanboys (and girls) foaming at the mouth is the Aliens sequel/prequel, Prometheus. Heading into theaters sure to topple the box office competition on June 8, the Ridley Scott-directed sci-fi flick is has already stirred debate among film geeks everywhere with the filmmaker's claim that it's not http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifnecessarilky connected to the previous Alien movies? Why be so coy about it? I wish most sci-fi movies today were connected to the uber awesome/uber successful Aliens franchise!
We already know Ridley Scott is taking the helm for this "new" movie. But this time he's uniting a new cast of victims, er, explorers together to (according to IMDB) "discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race."
The oh-so-perfect coveted cast includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson and Charlize Theron, who play the doomed explorers in this new, um, re-imagining of the franchise.
Call it whatever you want. I'm calling this trailer awesome.
