New "Skyfall" Trailer Gives You Just the Right Amount of Foreplay to Leave You Begging for More

In the first moments of this trailer, I couldn't help but to be reminded of Daniel Craig's ice-cold performance in Girl With the Dragon Tattoo last year. (I think the long shot of him running in a frosty, desolate location did the trick).

But for all I know Craig might have borrowed some of that psyche from his previous flick to his new performance as 007 in Skyfall. Craig picks up James Bond's famous martini glass (shaken, not stirred, of course) in the latest installment of the megafranchise. This time, Sam Mendes (of American Beauty and Revolutionary Road fame) steps behind the wheel to direct what looks like another sleek edition to the James Bond collection.

A succinct IMDB synopsis describes the film as such: "Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost."

Dame Judi Dench reprises her role as the elusive M, with newcomer Ralph Fiennes and Javier Bardem (who plays the villain, Silva) joining the impressive cast.

Mendes is certainly an interesting choice to helm the project, though not a knock to his obvious talent to helm great yet more dramatic fare, but by the look of things he seems like he really stepped up to the plate.

Bardem, while an incredible talent, will likely be perfect for his role, as will the always awesome Fiennes and Dench (who I hear may not reprise the role in future movies). Not to mention the eternally kickass Naomi Harris (remember her, from 28 Days Later?), who will no doubt break hearts just as quickly as she breaks the necks of bad boys simultaneously in the movie.

And you know what? I'm warming up to Craig as 007. Yeah, I said it.

What do you think? Skyfall sneaks into theaters November 9.
