Cinema In Noir: Casting the Black Panther and a Look at LGBT-Themed Films

Happy Sunday! The ladies of Cinema In Noir are back for another lively show. Today we share our thoughts on the new Django Unchained and Flight trailers, as well as our reviews of Prometheus and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

Also, we cast the imaginary (or not so imaginary?) big screen version of the superhero, The Black Panther. Word on the street is Marvel Studios may produce a blockbuster on the comic book character, T'Challa, so folks are abuzz about who can play him So of course we have to put our two cents in as well. Can Djimon Hounsou step into these large shoes? How about Chiwetel Ejiofor? What do you think?

Lastly, in honor of LGBT Pride Month, we celebrate what's hot and what's not in the world of gay-themed films, including Biutiful and the Anthony Mackie-starrer Brother to Brother. Plus, did you know Janet Jackson was set to executive produce the transgender-themed documentary, Truth? We discuss all of this and more on today's episode that you don't want to miss. Check out the recap below:
