And you know he is having none of that. If I know Liam Neeson (and I think I do), those abductors are about to meet their maker in Taken 2. You may recall the first film, released in 2008, where Bryan Mills' (Neeson) daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) was snatched up while on a covert vacation with her equally oblivious gal pal and almost thrown into human trafficking. That is, she would have if her dad didn't have "a certain set of skills" that allowed him to hunt the culprits, gangsta style, and take down their whole enterprise.
Well, it seems that the perpertrators didn't learn their lesson before because they're back, and this time they're after his ex wife (Famke Janssen). An official synopsis for the film (from Den of Geek):
“Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge, and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.”
Co-writer Luc Besson returns to pen this sequel, directed this time by Olivier Megaton (Colombiana).
By the looks of the trailer below, it looks like this was more like an ambush family vacation. And...are Kim and Bryan back together again? What happened to her husband?
Also, those kidnappers are about to get GOT! They seem to just be reacting emotionally right here, but I'm sure Neeson will appropriately remind them.
