Is "Scream" Heading Back to the Big Screen?
According to a grassroots promotion, it might be. Yes, director Wes Craven's classic 1996 modern horror flick, Scream, is coming back to a few select theaters across the country for a limited time at the end of this month, just in time for Halloween.
Pretty sweet, right? In case you need more incentive to relive the terror of the first--and best--movie in the franchise, here's a recap of the premise:
After a series of mysterious deaths befalls their small town, an offbeat group of friends led by Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) become the target of a masked killer. As the body count begins to rise, Sydney and her friends find themselves contemplating the “Rules” of horror films as they find themselves living in a real-life one.
And you can request a screening in your own town when you visit this website. It looks like requests are already pending for North Hollywood, New York City and Columbus, Ohio. Want to see Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell and Courtney Cox scare the bejesus out of you all over again? This may be your only chance. And what better way to celebrate Halloween?
