The New "Texas Chainsaw 3D" Motion Poster Effectively Thrills, While Promising Nothing New

Okay, okay, okay. Clearly, we don't need another Texas Chainsaw Massacre film, even if it is now in fancy 3D. But check out this awesome and frightfully effective motion poster for Texas Chainsaw 3D, and tell me you're not at least a little curious about it. Thought so.

Other than that, the movie looks to be more of the same c-level cheese found in the previous half rated installments. Specifically, I present you with the synopsis: A young woman named Heather travels to Texas to collect an inheritance; little does she know that an encounter with a chainsaw-yielding killer is part of the reward. See?

And here's the trailer:

Horror in a small town? Check. Random boob shots? Check. One deliriously wild villain? Check. I'm pretty sure perfectly functional cell phones will mysteriously not work, someone will decide to break away from the idiot brigade to "check out a noise" and never be seen again, but I think I want to see this. Don't judge me.

Texas Chainsaw 3D hits theaters January 4, 2013.

Great poster but very underwhelming trailer, some of the shots look like they "borrow" from the Jessica Biel remake.

Whoa, I've never seen a motion poster before. Like you, I'm not excited about the film, but that's pretty damn cool.
