After the dead-on-arrival trailer for last year's bomb Dark Tide, and after Cloud Atlas failed to resonate with the masses, Halle Berry could really use a good starring vehicle. And while her new thriller THE CALL may not exactly be Oscar bait, its newly released trailer at least looks suspenseful enough to watch it in its entirety.
The Academy Award winner stars as a 911 Operator who goes out of her way to protect the next victim in a string of kidnappings (Abigail Breslin). Morris Chestnut also stars in the movie as a police officer on the case.
More on the movie below (from Collider):
When veteran 911 operator, Jordan (Halle Berry), takes a life-altering call from a teenage girl (Abigail Breslin) who has just been abducted, she realizes that she must confront a killer from her past in order to save the girl’s life.
The Machinist director Brad Anderson helms the project (which I hope is better than his more recent thriller, Vanishing on 7th Street), and Richard D'Ovidio (Thir13en Ghosts) is the writer.
Watch the trailer:
Are we going to talk about Halle Berry's 1991 hairstyle? No? Ok...THE CALL hits theaters March 15th.

Enjoy Berry and Chestnut but like you said, this feels like a high end Lifetime movie.
