And my body is ready. Because there is no better way to watch torture, virtual warfare and the slaughter of human beings than in IMAX 3D. I'm kidding, obviously. I'm actually super psyched to see the next and final installment of The Hunger Games franchise, THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY - PART 2. In a press release issued on Friday, Lionsgate announced that the film is being remastered for 3-D to give fans an even greater experience when it hits theaters November 20th (though I'm sure this is mostly an effort to make even more money than it already has--more than $2.2 billion globally).
As we impatiently wait to finally see the trailer, read this official synopsis of the film:
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale (Liam Hemsworth), Finnick (Sam Claflin), and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
