Trailer Watch: Josh Brolin, Emily Blunt and Benicio del Toro Team Up in Denis Villeneuve's New Drug Thriller

Goodness knows we don't need yet another movie centered on a U.S./Mexico drug war, but I can't help it, SICARIO looks gooood. Really, anything with Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro and Emily Blunt needs to at least be paid attention to. (Jutst look at heir badass character photos above).

Plus, I still believe that director Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Enemy) is one of the most intriguing filmmakers around right now, with a penchant for chilling yet strange thrillers. Hopefully this follow in the same vein.

Here's the premise:

In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman.
In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent [Emily Blunt] is enlisted by an elite government task force official [Josh Brolin] to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past [Benicio Del Toro], the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.

SICARIO will open in select theaters on September 18 and nationwide on September 25.

I loved Emily Blunt in EDGE OF TOMORROW,and I thought Prisoners was really good (still haven't seen ENEMY). I'm looking forward to this film!
