The First Look Clip From Season 2 of "Animal Kingdom" Reveals Mounting Tension in the Cody Family

I know some of you were weary of yet another film-to-TV adaptation, but guys, Animal Kingdom on TNT is the kind of low-key crazy family drama that you never knew you needed in your lives. And Ellen Barkin as the calculated yet maniacal matriarch in a house full of thieves and murderers is a little too perfect.

Without giving too much away about where we left off last season, let's just say sh** really hit the fan, resulting in a death none of them see coming, and one has yet to be revealed to the entire family. So, tensions are at an all-time high. Can you tell I'm on the edge of my seat? Because I am.

Animal Kingdom will make an appearance today at SXSW. I should have photos from that event to share this weekend.
